Who am I?

I am just a guy who loves life and has some funny stories to tell. Many of you have seen the pictures of the animals I have caught in my backyard , but not the stories that go along with them. What you are about to read is true. None of the stories have been exaggerated and are as true as I recall... BUT, I am getting older and starting to slowly lose my mind...

Why am I trapping animals?

Glad you asked! It all started in early 2001. One night I heard some commotion in my back yard around 2am. I turned on the back porch light, went out there with a shovel and saw 4 raccoons digging at different sections... One was slowly walking towards me so I banged the shovel on the porch. One of the raccoon (which I didn't see) was about a foot behind me and it took off. Scared the tar right out me. Yes, I screamed like a girl... That was the turning point in my trapping life. It was the moment that I became..."Trapper Jim"...

A friend of mine from work "Phillip" let me borrow his live trap. This is really cool because it does not hurt the animal at all. They walk in, grab a bite to eat, the door closes and BAM, I caught another one!!! During the first 3 months, I caught a wide array of possums and racoons... Probably close to 3 of each... My back yard was no longer being destroyed, so I gave Phillip his trap back.

This year has been a different story. Mid April, the backyard was again being destroyed and I borrowed Phillips trap. Much to my surprise, I had caught one the very first night. At that time, I went to the feed store and bought my very own trap. Was really wanting to catch one in Phillips trap and one in mine, but did not get any double captures. :(

I have not been one intrigued by the trapping of animals, but since something was tearing my back yard to shreds, I had to put out a live trap to discover what was digging all the holes.

Before the pics of the animals, I would like to share a couple thoughts and answer a couple questions...

What do I do with these animals once they are caught?

Good Question... Here is a list of things I do with the animals, once they are caught...

What are the top things I would like to catch.
