As you can tell, my family loves to fish. We spend hours at the lake or beach and have lots of "fish" stories.

While we were living in Oklahoma, fishing became our favorite past time. Melanie and I were getting ready to go to the lake, baiting our lines and making sure our Zebco 202's (reels) were in prime shape.

We mainly used bacon or worms to catch blue gills or channel cats. Well, Mel had just baited her hook when the neighbors dog, a weenie dog, came over and decided it was hungry for some raw bacon. The dog is just about to eat her baited hook. She runs towards him and startles him. - He starts backing and running away.

All the sudden he starts squealing and Mel's reel starts screaming...ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. She indirectly hooked a "20lb weenie dog fish". She grabs the reel, the dog is still running and stripping line.

After chasing the dog for 10 minutes, we finally caught it and removed the hook. I doubt that dog has eaten raw bacon since. :)
