Screaming For Attention
Everyone needs a tension breaker, an outlet to relax. Lunch time for me is
when I "escape" from the pressures of work and eat with some of
my friends. During one of these lunches, I think we all snapped.
Vicki (One of those crazy people I work with), another lady named Suzanne B and I were stressed out and needed a break. It had been a long day and we needed some lunch. We "piled" into Vic's car (a mustang) and headed out. I barely fit in one of those. Pretty cars though.....
The ride over to"On The Border" was a typical drive. Nothing major, just chit chat about work, life, etc. Lunch was good. We had our favorite waitress (Carmen) and our chicken fingers, chips and salsa.
After our tummies were full, our conversation slowed, the caffeine started kicking in. I think Carmen was putting extra power in our tea.
We pulled out of the On The Border and are sitting at a red light. About 50 yards away, there is a guy crossing the street. I lower my window and let out one of the loudest, highest pitched screams you will ever hear. I swear you would have thought someone had gotten shot.
Vic doesn't have the slightest clue what is going on and Suzanne B is about to die from laughter. The guy crossing the street starts spinning his head around, looking for the person who is getting attacked. Vic sees him doing this and lowers her window and starts screaming. I am crying I am laughing so hard.
First of all, there is not a lot of room in the car, we are all smooshed, screaming as loud as we can humanly do, and laughing. I thought I was going to throw up. :)
Now during future lunches when we take two cars, when we signal the other car or pass each other, we all roll down the windows and scream at the top of our lungs.
You are probably going, that is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Yes, I agree, but try it. You will feel so much better. Talk about a stress reliever.
Next time you are having "one of those days", instead of going nuts, ripping some poor saps head off, try going to lunch or just drive around and scream your head off. You may want to leave your windows up, but then again, you may not.
